This year The major movie companies brought movie lovers at least three hundred films. In this group of over 300 films, about seventy are made with laughter in mind. Here is a list of the best funny movies that have hit the theaters in 2008.

As fate would have it, when he arrives at his hotel, he runs into Sarah and her new boyfriend, who is a mega rock star. The stage is set for a thoughtful romantic comedy.

GET SMART: Maxwell Smart, as agent 86, is here again, and he has us right where he wants us. The evil organization (KAOS) vs the good guys (CONTROL), the shoe phone, and all the classic quotes. It is worth the look back at the 1960's spy spoof series.

HAMLET 2: Unsucessful actor Dana Marshz has found himself teaching the high school theater classes to uninterested students. The school loses a building due to destruction, so the school board figures the theatre progam will have to go. With a challenge now in front of him, he hopes to keep the school from dropping his classes by producing Hamlet 2, a new version of the classic, which is his own work.

MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: This is the sequel to the hugely successful movie Madagascar. The four animal heroes, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo want to return to the the Central Park Zoo in NY, from their first adventure. As oppossed to going home, as the Penguins are up to their old tricks, they are off to have more adventures first.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Underacheiveing pothead Dale has just witnessed a crooked cop, and a big time dealer, murder someone. The killers know he has seen what's gone down. Sure that he has been spotted, he unwittingly throws down his joint, a unique version called pineapple express, and takes off. The weed is so special, that the bad guys can trace it. The "fun" is on, the bad guys are hunting, and Dale and dealer Saul are now running for their lives.

ROLE MODELS: Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (William Scott), a couple of energy drink sales people, are going to see some hard jail time after trashing the company truck. The way they can avoid jail time is by doing communuty service. Their task will be to mentor some kids as sort of a big brother. The stage is set for some good comedy.

STEP BROTHERS: When two 40 year olds, who each live with their single parents, will now have to live in the same room because their mom and dad get married, we see that they are bound to have problems. With Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in those roles, and the conditions are right for a funny movie. This seems like a must see for comedy lovers.

TROPIC THUNDER: Overloded with good actors this movie is a spoof on vietnam war movies. To get better results from his spoiled actors to make a first rate war movie, the frantic, and abused, director Damien Cockburn into the wild jungle, and leaves them there by themselves. The goal is to overwhelm them so they will produce a work of genius, which will be caught on hidden cameras in the area. When the director dies unexpectadly by stepping on a real land mine, the actors are now truely on their own, and they start acting, thinking it's a big set, but the bullets flying are actually real. Great cast with incredible make up for Robert Downey Jr.and Tom Cruise.

ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: The bills aren't getting paid and Zack and Miri, roomates and good friends, need to make some money. Their solution? Easy, start making pornos. As one can expect this seems like a good recipe for a funny film.
